Carp Fishing in France
Latest News from
Le Monument
There has been lots of work carried out this winter at Le Monument. The carp lake was drained and then netted to remove over a ton of silver fish. We used an excavator to create new features around the shallow margins left of the Lodge swim.

The Lodge swim has also had a make over and can now take 2 bivvies.

A fantastic little lake, the perfect water for a 4/5 man exclusive. Total peace and quiet, I had the lake to myself for a week and after a tough and wet start finished with 10 fish to a PB 45.08 mirror. A little gem of a lake.

Arrived to find fish had bred part way through previous week so no action until mid week and then 9 fish from Wednesday to Saturday morning. 15.00lb to 31.08lb. Great fighters. Mark and Angela were very accommodating and gave sound advice. Looking forward to going back. See you when we visit Redmill in April 2016.
Many thanks. Rob & Mark P

Mark and his wife run a first class fishery, both were very helpful and informative, easy to get on with. The lake is quiet and peaceful, secluded and haven't seen a sole all week. If they both continue to run their fishery as they are doing now brining them on 'quote' quality not quantity; I can see this venue being an immaculate large fish water, long may it continue, thoroughly enjoyed our week and next time we come we will be definitely having the food package. Many thanks Ian ... Read More

Just spent a great week at Le Monument. 30 fish between 4 of us including 10 30s to 38lb 4oz. All hard fighting and in mint condition.
The facilities were good with a nice hot shower and comfy cabin.

Thanks Mark for all your advice we will be back.

After visiting Redmill in early 2014 we returned later in the year to have a go at some more fish but as it turned out we decided to try our luck at the new redmill for a few nights, i found the venue fantastic, its full of history and full of overgrown vegetation, its a great lake and host to some stunning carp, we had a great few nights fishing and would recommened it to anybody for a fantastic weeks fishing!
